long island's Woodlands folk festival
october 2, 2010 - 11am - 6 pm
Come to the first annual, family friendly Woodlands Folk Festival, Long Island’s new classic folk festival. Top local and regional contemporary folk music performers including Larry Kirwan (of Black 47), the Claudia Jacobs Band, Jim Dexter’s The Road Home, Bone Vivant and Jon Preddice (of Miles to Dayton) will be presented on multiple stages throughout the day. The 2010 Woodlands Folk Festival promises a day of great music, good food, local beer and wine, activities and music for kids, and a great day for music fans, couples, and families.
Woodlands is an opportunity to hear old favorites, discover new music and musicians; relax in a beautiful setting that includes a labyrinth and a poetry walk in a peaceful woodlands. There will also be local ecologically grown produce and artisan jewelry and crafts.
